I am pleased to welcome you to the first newsletter for 2006.

Since the last newsletter, we have had our systems audited by the external quality auditor, demonstrating ongoing compliance and continuous improvement and now including the Adelaide operations within the company’s accreditation for ISO9001.

This was a considerable achievement for the HCS Home Care Services staff in Adelaide, having had a change to a new company in April, a change in software in September and being able to demonstrate new business systems by December. While there have been a few technical hiccups, the staff have been wonderful in tackling these demands and meeting them.

The company has also been successful in gaining some additional funding directly for Community Aged Care Packages in Melbourne, which will support 20 eligible people in the southern metropolitan region.

The Information & Advisory Service has completed its first full year of operation, providing a comprehensive service to over 1400 callers from the community as well as supporting office staff with information which can further assist existing clients. This is a free service available by phoning 1300 66 00 22 and provides information on a range of subsidized and private services that best suits your needs.
