Extract CEO report-We have provided over 1,100,000 hours of service in the past 12 months, through over 1600 support workers providing direct care and a further 160 assisting their activities through the regional service centres, Head Office central administration functions and the Registered Training Organisation’s (RTO) training and administration staff.
The increasing demand for support to enable people to remain at home continues to require a high level of skill and understanding from our staff. Meeting the increasingly complex care needs of some clients and the specific requirements of indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse and remote clients has required a number of strategies. These have included the expansion of the RTO’s scope of registration, linking with other training opportunities and our nurse care managers providing client specific training of care staff.
